100.204 Crop Rotation Practice Standard – EnvirOganic Only
Producers must implement a crop rotation plan including but not limited to sod, cover crops, green manure crops and catch crops. Indoor production including greenhouses must comply with the crop rotation standard by incorporating plant diversity through cover cropping, hedge rows, trap crops or similar activities that increase biodiversity in or around the production site. This is done with the purpose to:
(a) Maintain or improve soil organic matter content;
(b) Provide for pest management in target crop;
(c) Manage deficient or excess plant nutrients in a way that does not contaminate water and native habitat;
(d) Provide erosion control; And
(e) Increase biodiversity.
100.205 Seeds and Planting Stock
(a) Only plants containing pesticide levels below State Action Levels may be eligible for Envirocann Certification.
(b) A cutting taken from a “conventional” (i.e not managed under Envirocann Standards) plant may be used to produce an Envirocann Certified crop if it is managed with compliant materials from the time of cutting.
(c) Verification is required for all new genetics to ensure no contamination from prohibited materials.
(d) Seeds treated with prohibited materials must not be used to produce an EnvirOganic Certified crop. This includes materials used to stimulate sprouting.
(e) For EnvirOganic certification, mother plants must be managed organically such that cuttings are taken from growth that was produced while under organic management.

(1) Sanitation measures to removes disease vectors, weed seeds, and habitat for pest organisms, including sanitation measures for employees and visitors; and
(2) Crop rotation, soil and crop nutrient management practices, which addresses soil fertility and erosion control;
(3) Cultural practices to enhance crop health, such as the selection of strongest genetics for their suitability to site-specific conditions and resistance to prevalent pests, weeds, and diseases.
(4) Mechanical or physical methods such as the introduction of predators (beneficials)or parasites of the pest species; Use of Nonsynthetic controls such as lures, traps, and repellents; Mowing or mulching with fully biodegradable materials; Application of nonsynthetic biological, botanical, or mineral inputs.
(c) When preventative practices described in paragraphs (a)&(b) of this section fail to prevent or control crop pests, weeds, and diseases, a biological or botanical substance or a substance included on the Envirocann Materials Lists of Allowed synthetics for use in Cannabis may be used to prevent, suppress, or control pests, weeds, or diseases: so long as the conditions for using the substance are documented in the Envirocann Management Plan (EMP).
100.207 Commingling and Contamination Prevention Practice Standard
To avoid commingling and cross contamination of certified and noncertified crops or products, producers must make necessary planned action to ensure certified product does not contact prohibited substances nor commingles with non-certified product. This is achieved by:
(a) Establishing and implementing SOP’s for Cultivation and Postharvest Processing as part of your EMP, which details employee training, separation of certified product(s), labeling, cleaning and storage procedures. These SOP’s must:

(2) Include documented plans to avoid mixing certified and non-certified product during harvest, postharvest processing and storage.
(3) Include documented plans to avoid Commingling and Contamination of prohibited materials on certified product(s); and
(4 ) Detail the flow of any shared grow media, tools and application equipment, and product(s) in postharvest production and storage, including documented cleaning of said tools and application equipment.
100.208 Prohibited Substances Prevention Practice Standard
(a) To avoid the use or contamination of Prohibited Substances, a certified operation must establish and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for Cultivation, Postharvest Processing and/or Manufacturing as part of the EMP, which detail employee training, separation of certified product(s), labeling, cleaning and storage procedures to AVOID using any Prohibited Materials in production. These SOP’s must:
(1) Include plans to avoid packing certified product in any reusable bag or container that would compromise the integrity of any certified product, Unless, the reusable container has been thoroughly cleaned and poses no risk of contamination from a prohibited material; or
